Last February I was in ArtMadrid represented by Marc de Coene Fine Arts, as I was walking through the Art Fair I saw a jacket hanging on a chair. Then suddenly the image of a "pietà" came to my mind, the jacked was like a dead body hanging from the loving arms of the chair, there was something "sacred" in the vision of that jacket that day...

Handle with care

This work is called "Handle with care"  it's made of wood and then painted. It's a bit smaller than life size: 80x37x41cmts.

Fitter, Happier, More Productive gaat over“baby-boomers”, die LSD-feesten in de 60-er jaren, recessie in 80-er jaren, etc. overleefd hebben en nu fitter, gelukkiger en meer productief zijn dan enige andere generatie. Wat is hun geheim? Hoe kijken zij nu tegen het leven aan?

Bozar de l'Abattoir

 

This weekend some of my works were in Tamines, Belgium, at the Bozar de l'Abattoir, the smallest art fair in the world. It was a pleasure to share the show with such a big group of talented artists

Global Village group show, Bergen, Holland

Some images of my work at the past Global Village group show in Bergen Holland. During the big art festival Kunst 10-daagse in the costal village of Bergen, the Netherlands the international art show Global Village was present with a small selection.

Exhibition " Light, Art and Living" in Biberach

Under the title " Light, Art and Living", the Interior Design Studio Heinzel, Biberach exhibits from 10.10 till 7.11.2014 a selection of wellknown classical furniture, together with paintings and sculptures from young artists of the Gallery Marc Decoene.

What does a classical design like the Lounge Chair of Charles Eames or the LC2 armchair of Le Corbusier have in common with the obstinate and dancing creations of some young spanish painters and sculptors?

The border between design and art has always been flowing. Both creative forms search for fascination through expressiveness, innovation and visionary audacity.

Exhibition young spanish art

Marc Decoene Art Gallery in Erolzheim shows from 19.07 till 13.09.2014 around 25 works of some young promising spanish painters and sculptors :

- Alejandra Corral, Madrid : paintings

- Jose Luis Serzo, Madrid : paintings

- Joan Priego, Barcelona : sculptures

- And Jesus Zurita, Granada : paintings

Although the show doesn't lay any claim to being complete, it wants to provide a good insight into the to day's very active spanish artistic scene.
