The Office (instalation) - The martyr

 Some pics of the last work I made for the Installation "The Office". This standing sculpture represents the martyr of the office. The target of all bullys' jokes, like a Saint Sebastian it has some ballpens instead of arrows. It's carved in wood and painted. 165x 50x40cmts

Last February I was in ArtMadrid represented by Marc de Coene Fine Arts, as I was walking through the Art Fair I saw a jacket hanging on a chair. Then suddenly the image of a "pietà" came to my mind, the jacked was like a dead body hanging from the loving arms of the chair, there was something "sacred" in the vision of that jacket that day...
"Pietà" is made of carved wood and a chair, and painted, 80x55x52 ctms

Handle with care

This work is called "Handle with care"  it's made of wood and then painted. It's a bit smaller than life size: 80x37x41cmts.

From 30th January until 22 February I'm taking part with my work Inertia at the group show "Fiftier, Happier, more productive" in Expo Drietien, Koelmalaan 310, Alkmaar, Holland... Here you can see some pics of my work at the exhibition, and the oppening speech from the curator Jeroen van Passen

Fitter, Happier, More Productive gaat over“baby-boomers”, die LSD-feesten in de 60-er jaren, recessie in 80-er jaren, etc. overleefd hebben en nu fitter, gelukkiger en meer productief zijn dan enige andere generatie. Wat is hun geheim? Hoe kijken zij nu tegen het leven aan?
