Global Village 2014

I'm proud to take part with 2 works, Little Martyr & Great Capitalist Selfportrait, at the event Global Village 2014.
Global Village is showing 60 international artists from all over the world.
From 17th May to 25th May it will take place at Fort Abcoude, Holland.
Then in July it will move to Landhust in Germany and in August Global Village it will be at the Kulturhuset of Broden in Denmark.

2 of hearts

This is my latest  relief.  It's called 2 of hearts 95x61x6cmts, wood & paint.
I find that relief is a very interesting languaje between sculpture, drawing and painting.

Merman

This is called Merman (triton). It's a little sketch for a bigger sculpture, it's carved in wood and painted, 38x20x9cmts. In fact this Merman is inspired in the pose of the spanish bullfighter that I used before for my little martyr

Lately I've been experimenting with a new languaje, the relief.
I find the relief a very interesting languaje between sculpture, drawing and painting.
I try to approach in a very contenporary way to the relief, here are some examples of my approach:

Picture2 is ... Damocles  121x80x10 cmts
Picture3 is...  Multipication of bread and fish.  120x80x14cms

Uroboros

Uroboros is a small wood-carved sculpture 10x60x18 cmts

This is the Little Martyr... This sculpture can be shown with or without the knife, public has to decide if the knife has to be or not on the sculpture's chest.
It's carved in wood and painted 120x60x52cms with knife.. 91x60x52cms without knife

3 gracias, 3 graces... wood, 60x51x12cms

This is sculpture is small 45x25x25 cmts and its carved in wood. It's called The strategy of flexibility
