Sisyphus

For every step I move forward I go two steps back. It takes a lot of energy to try to emerge in this art world. I sacrificed many things, I voluntarily took precarious jobs for the good of my art and I ended up being a caretaker in a small museum.
I'm like Sisyphus in the mith, when I think I'm moving up then I get a rejection email and everithing comes down again, but I'm losing energy and spirit to raise again. I started this blog in 2006 and I can't say I have made many progress. The rental of the atelier, tools, materials, etc, that takes a lot of money that I could save...
Today is 23rd of June, in my country we celebrate midsummer with bonfires, I'm really tempted to get all my work together and make a nice bonfire as a final performance and then live an easier and cheaper life, it won't be this year but it won't be long.

Nazareno in progress 2

Nazareno in progress 2, building the skirt and working on the backpaint. It's all going to be an installation, I want it to look like the old museums dioramas. I love narrative art, like the old spanish sculpture of the baroque, I want my art to be narrative too
